      A Mosin is a big, ugly, gawdy, hideous, beautiful, loyal, rugged beast of a firearm. While the varying models each have their own uses (carbines paratrooper models, etc) they are all mostly the same idea. A $130 gun that you can use and abuse then pass to the grandchildren.
