I have owned many north face,patagonia,and columbia jackets,pants,ect. I have put them into the elements they are made for and they all perform well.For the money its hard to beat columbia .:twocents:
Thanks everyone for the info.I have decided on the esee laser strike for my trips into the woods and a izula because it looks cool with paracord.I see my future will bring some custom knives that I seen while searching info.The addiction has started :D
Well I've realize there is alot to learn.I believe 1095 steel will probably best suite me.Still a little confused on the HRC that suites me so some more research will be needed.My quest has got me looking at Ontario,EESE,Busse,and Survive Knives.I can see how this could turn into an addiction...
I don't know where knife budgets start or finish.I do believe you get what you pay for.I plan on owning only one to carry while traveling in the woods.
4hour drive to natural bridge state park in KY.They have two campgrounds but are closed in the winter.There is alot to see in the surrounding area(Red River Gorge).
