I haven't been there recently, but was just talking to someone about how I really need to get back there soon. As said in several of the posts, it rarely disappoints.
Clay mentioned the bread pudding, but I'm more of a crème brûlée girl and theirs is really quite wonderful.
ok, I'm in. I'll put my app and check in the mail tomorrow.
It is an excellent time to test out your gear. Me...? Last year, I learned that I need to get some better gloves. Much better trigger control when I can actually feel my fingers.
Dr. Whitaker....absolutely THE bat guy to contact. I worked with him years ago. Don't know how much field work he's doing these days, but if he's not available, I would imagine he could get you the name of a grad student or 2 that could work with you.
Well, crud. I'm sorry I missed this one. I really need to get out for some drills, and this sounds like it might be just what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, the later session doesn't work for me.
I do not cross draw. There is a slight forward cant. I've tried a number of different holster options, and for me, having it with me and on me in a way that I can wear consistently, outweighs any issue I might have to overcome in presentation.
I don't own the Dene Adams, but I use a conceptually similar version by Nickel and Lace. Works very well for me. Keeps it close and secure without requiring a belt.
I carry something that weighs a fair amount more than the Shield and have no trouble. Plus, there are pockets on both sides...
From https://dps.mn.gov/ If I am a non-resident, must I take an approved firearms training class in Minnesota in order to get a Minnesota permit to carry? No. You are only required to present evidence that you have received training in the safe use of a pistol from an organization or government...
I'm all for a good joke, but posted in the Women and firearms forum......? Might not be the best way to encourage women to be involved.
Mods. Would it be possible to move this to the Break Room?
after reading through all of the posts, here are a couple of things I came up with.
1. Which of those three did she shoot best?
2. You say she can shoot a 1911, but wants something lighter. Being a 1911 girl, myself, I can see that. Though my 1911 is a lightweight commander, I went through...
I'm trying to get my mind around that idea. 1 second. Simply counting in my head....one-one-thousand....that's not very long.
I realize that I'm turtle slow compared to many, and I haven't ever timed myself like that, but I'm certain it would take me WAY longer. Draw, mag, rack, aim...
You can count me in for a rifle class this year. Though I will not be running an AK, it will be is NOT an AR, either.
I've just got to be different. As if my freakish wrong handedness isn't enough....
