Specific Prepping: High Winds And Torrential Rain

That is exactly why I still don't have one. My Farm Boss does what I need it to do 90% of the time, so a saw that expensive sitting around more often than not is hard to justify. Here's one I saw earlier this month at RK. A 400 but it would do just as well.

Thank God it missed the shop. I've wanted a 28" 462 with the wrap around handle for years.

Specific Prepping: High Winds And Torrential Rain

Our driveway is 400 ft covered by trees. I have a BR500 and a BR600 for this time of year.

Specific Prepping: High Winds And Torrential Rain

Mij: This thread is for how anyone preps for unusual inclement weather, no matter where you are. After landfall: Nearly 2M people without electricity. Storm surge puts people that decided to shelter in place in dire circumstances -before high tide- !! I cannot even imagine.

What format does a video need to be to uploaded to INGO?

I too upload my videos to YouTube first, then link to them here. I have best results with .MP4, record on Android phone and edit with a free app on my Windows laptop.

Specific Prepping: High Winds And Torrential Rain

The remnants of Helene are coming. What are you doing out of your normal to prepare? This angle might pick up a few members that do not usually contribute to the "What have you done this week to prep" thread and especially the "Prepping for Urban Survival" thread. 50mph wind gusts and over an...

What is the most accurate way to find COL for a rifle ?

I have this one. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1012939524?pid=574297 It's for documentation purposes. What is good for 1 rifle may not be good for another.

      Life

I've had plenty to complain about since 2022. But I've never been one to be down or depressed. I give thanks for every day and look for something constructive to do with each. I probably got the drive and determination from my mother. Nearly deaf and poor as can be since childhood; my dad didn't...

      Before Election Gas Prices

We were just talking about this tonight, as we sat at the light where our local Shell station has gas @ $2.99 for the first time since I don't know -- when Trump was President???

      OCD on Fire! Good Grief!

I haven't built cartridges for maybe four years. I haven't actually shot a rifle for longer than that! But I recently found a test batch from a new recipe for a DMR that I never got out to the range to try. I decided enough was enough and took a trip to Deer Creek out west to shake down & check...

      Gravel types for driveway/walkway

Adding fines is a smart call. Time and moisture will make it very hard.

What are you listening to: Part 3

Just in case that wasn't enough. My second favorite (maybe) favorite RUSH song. Live- Didn't anticipate that. It is worth the click. Geddy's voice is not as good in this one, but here you go.

      Readywise...is it tasty?

I was a Wise dealer nearly 10 years ago. The product was "OK" but I pitched its shelf life and grab & go convenience. Nowadays, I personally go with Ready Hour. I like their packaging for variety and calories. They run sales occasionally that makes buying a 4-week bundle very compelling. They...

      Gravel types for driveway/walkway

5 years ago I dropped 22 ton of #4 stone from U.S. Aggregate on 400 ft of clay lane with no prep work or geotextile. It has held up very well. We are just now thinking about stirring it to knock off the center crown. It does not get a lot of traffic.

And Now For Something Completely Different (Railfans Inside)

Thank you, my friend. Yes, it is limited. Each stop is planned ahead and based on miles travelled. As you've noted, there are many service points that need attention but not every one at each stop. Grease for the running gear, oil for the pistons, water, fuel. From Rochelle to Watseka Illinois...
