      IMPD has a great reserve program; the requirements ARE the same as paid officers. Class room time, range time every thing is the same. But you are looking at about 2 years to get thru the program completely. IMPD will provide everything you need down to and including a flashlight, baton...

      I believe if it’s all matching ser# then only clean and do the required repairs to insure its safe to shoot, if its not matching then do what ever you want. Bottom line it’s your gun do as you please
