hey vette we are having a rimfire rifle shoot this sunday at the fayette county rifle and pistol club you should come out and shoot. the shoot is informal benchrest at 50 yards
I really like the look of the smartreloader rest, it just seems better made. A couple of shooters at my range have the benchrest models and they are well built.
Don't let money get in your way. Figure out how much you are willing to spend then add at least 2,000,000 dollars!:D
Just kidding, I have a 3200 elite 5x15x40 that is very clear you are welcome to check it out if you want. As far as power is concerned my 5x15 is border line for the targets we...
Thanks guys this is what I was looking for. It may be a few weeks before I get to test this load but I will post a report when it is done. I am glass bedding the stock next week.
Sorry Sloughfoot didn't mean to make you feel used just lookin for opinions on varget and the 223.:D
the rifle is 223 varmint remington 700. It does well with 40gr and 52gr bullets. I have been using TAC powder with good results just like to try something different. I know some people like varget for the 308 guess I will give it a try.
Anyone use varget for reloading 223 remington? I have some I can try with 40gr and 52gr sierra bullets I also have some 55gr hornady's. I looking for something to shoot in 100 yard benchrest. The rifle is a 1 in 12 twist remington 700. Thanks for any advice.
If you reload and do any deer hunting in Indiana you would be best served with a 358BFG from BFG (Fireball168). This round would knock the snot out of any southern black bear and does great on whitetails out past 250 yards.
Come over to Connersville this sunday we are having a centerfire rifle match at 2:00pm
It's just for fun 100 yards bullseye targets 10 rounds. Bring those deer rifles
I thought the 14 twist would be too slow for the 225gr. Seems like it's working for you guys,I'll give that a try. Should have better BC than the 180 and 200 hornady.
I have a Savage model 11 with the BFG barrel and love it. I got the Hornady die and the brass from Fireball he is great to work with and makes a nice product. After I got mine two of my friends shot it and had to have one also. I am getting 1" groups with 200 grain Hornady Interlocks
