here's a couple pics. At the corner of the house the top of the basement wall is right at ground level or a little lower. As you can see when travel down the wall the grade increases and the wall is about 6 inches below grade. Then you can see the yard is pretty much the same level.
If I dug...
Turns out I cannot get my bottom row of brick above grade without having a negative grade towards the house. If I run a level line from the house to the yard the top of my basement wall is at least of few inches below the yard grade. Guess the guys that did the final grading screwed the pooch...
Here's a picture. The soil level is basically at the top of the 3rd row of bricks along this wall. Best I can estimate is that the top of the basement wall is at the top of the bottom row of bricks.
This wall is about 20ft long to the right and this picture is the highest soil level. Going...
You got it....basically a lot words to say my basement wall is 5" below grade
House was likely set pretty level with the grade then my guess is the fine landscape folks raised the beds slightly or maybe after 30 years of mulch the beds raised to the current level.
The french drain idea might...
I moved into this house 11ish (built in 1989) years ago and always known that landscape bed on one side of house seemed awful high but never paid much attention to it. We had a very large tree that was in the landscape bed removed and now looking at lower the beds. By my rough measuring from...
At least the wifey has an lifetime exception from the flu shot through her work (nurse). But it's only because she has long term complications from a forced flu shot. She had to apply for the exception every year for a few years with letter from her neurologist but I guess they got tired...
I know of a couple people that say they have the squirts more often but it's worth it.
Some years back I would have the occasion pain in my abdomen that I would rate at 8 out of 10 on the scale. I think one time I asked my wife to just shoot me. The pain would only happen at night and I'm...
better than my wife's hospital, they are still masking everyone in patient care. Of course when they do loosen the rules I'm sure she'll have to stay masked since she got an exemption, kind a like wearing a star.
I ended up talking with another dealer that also has a truck I'm trying to get a deal on. He said I will only pay the 7% indiana tax on the value after the trade.
I think that is if you live there. I'm sure Ohio needs it's tax from somewhere I'm just not following and the sales guy hasn't been that helpful. I'm currently waiting for him to get some more details before going forward.
I thought about selling my current truck myself instead of trade but...
The sales guy says I pay taxes for where I live which is the 7% but I still don't think I should be taxed on my trade value. This is about a $1000 difference in price and could be a deal breaker for me.
Hey all I found a used truck at a dealer in Ohio that I'm working out a deal on. The dealer is telling me that I owe taxes on the full purchase amount of the truck instead of taking my trade off value. The only thing I can find in regards to Ohio is that on a used car purchase they don't take...
In my younger days I drove on 3 of 5 lug nut on Ford Ranger. It was that way for a minimum of 50,000 miles, not that I'd recommend do it LOL. It was because of the same issue, asshats putting the lug nuts on nascar style.
I'm trying to find a 1 to 2 year old truck coming off a lease. The prices are getting better but still on the high side. Anything that is a good deal goes very quick.
Tagging for interest. I also have quite a few baseball cards from the late 80's to early 90's. I googled some of mine and ebay prices for the same cards can vary from $20 to $600. So I'm also interested in place to value them or at least some knowledge on how I can go through them.
Dang just...
I've used Mission Electric out of Pittsboro with good results. I've also heard good things about Indy Electric in Brownsburg. Both are small companies.
