Why I now carry the SIG Sauer P320 Compact 9mm pistol

Yeah, the only thing worse, in my mind than an external thumb safety would be the idiotic grip safety. The one on the XD’s would even keep the slide from being racked if it wasn’t depressed…. DUH!

Why I now carry the SIG Sauer P320 Compact 9mm pistol

I would believe that “out of stock” is caused by people buying them faster than the ones that you see with safeties in the gun shop, but, that’s just my line of logic….being involved in manufacturing for over 50 years….

Why I now carry the SIG Sauer P320 Compact 9mm pistol

Hey, I promise I won’t laugh. Good pistols are made all across manufacturer’s product base. That being said, so are poor ones! Lol I’m no fan of the XD series but, loved the XDS. I’m certainly no fan of the 1911AARP but, I do own several, I just don’t carry them much. Recently, I asked my #2 son...

One thing about Sig, you can wait just a bit and a new model will come out that fits exactly what you want…. P320/P365 prove that for sure! Lol

Why I now carry the SIG Sauer P320 Compact 9mm pistol

I’ve got a Sig P320X Full. I bought a Sig P320X Compact caliber change kit. I bought a P80 P320 grip module I bought some MUP-1s. I bought a Wilson Combat “Carry” grip module. I bought a Wilson Combat “Compact” grip module. I’ve got several configurations and a few not offered by any...

My exact experience as well. The production casters use harder alloy because there is less problem with mold fill out. More tin, sharper, more polished looking bullets that don’t get damaged during shipping. They are also smaller because they use less material to make. 95% of what I cast is...

Massad Ayoob says don't release slide on empty chamber.

In 1973 I carried one of those 1911’s that they should have junked long before that. Not sure you could have hurt it any worse than they were at that time. Dad was in the Corps too. 1950-1969. He shot expert with the pistol but even he had to admit depending on the 1911A1 you picked up, you...

Elmer thought that a hard bullet was 1part tin to 10parts lead! Imagine if he saw some of the commercially cast bullets of our day!

I’m a member of castboolits.com. I’ve been in some group buys with mp-molds.com. Several of mine are brass, a few aluminum. They fit Lee mold handles. Premium work, no two ways about that and, even though they are located in Slovenia, they are inexpensive. I cast for all of my pistol calibers...

I think hot rodding the 45ACP should be relegated to heavy revolvers, OR, 1911’s by someone with more knowledge on recoil spring selection than me! Lol Now, I do have a Glock 21 that I’d have no problem shooting anything in! Lol

My preferred bullets for the 45 Colt are the LHP bullets in the middle in the pictures. I can cast them solid. They weigh in at 295gr, as cast HP, they weigh right at 250gr. The ones on the right are a copy of Elmer’s 45 Colt SWC, they weigh as cast @ 285gr. I have pushed the 250gr out of my...

Never shot them in one. Just the wheel gun. It liked them! I put those whomper loads in it. I also have a Blackhawk convertible 45ACP/Colt I could run them in. I’m not a huge fan of old slabsides and I don’t trust them for those heavy loads. Just me though. YMMV

Here are some of my 45ACP loads that I’ve run in a few of my 1911’s or my M625’s from time to time. The ones on the far right, I don’t have the mold for nor any bullets left. My friend sent me some to try and he has passed away. The owner of the mold is gone too. They weighed in at 270gr! In...
