Trap Ranges in Lake County (maybe some good FFL's too)

Oakwood Gun Club in Wheatfield. Not Lake county, but a nice place to shoot and not far. Has trap, skeet, and 5-stand. Limited hours on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Only place I know with skeet that is not far from Lake county. https://www.facebook.com/oakwoodgunclub/

WTS: CCI MINI MAG .22 LR Ammo (price drop)

I'm listing 5000 rounds of CCI 40 gr. copper plated round nose Mini-Mags for sale. Rounds were purchased this year, so this is not old ammo. I got this with some other 22LR ammo recently. I do not really shoot mini mags, but I figured get some 22 ammo when you can. Asking price is $130/1000...

      Newer S&W Revolvers

More than half my handguns are revolvers. The vast majority of those are S&W. I have both old and new. While I prefer they did not have the Hillery hole, I never had an issue with that feature/bug. Many of my newer revolvers are used for steel plate matches (8 shooters) and my winter pistol...

SIG going after Springfield over the Hellcat Magazine patent infringement

They were way ahead of the curve with the P11. The trigger is not great, being a DAO hammer fired pistol. If you shoot DA revolvers, it is not unfamiliar. I have both the P11 and the P365. I did a fluff-n-buff on the P11 and the trigger is way better than stock, but the trigger on my P365 is...

SIG going after Springfield over the Hellcat Magazine patent infringement

It's not obvious Sig did something different. Kel Tec came out with the P11 in 1995. It is smaller and lighter than the P365 and holds 10-round, flush fit mags. Also, S&W 59 mags fit the P11. I always wondered if Sig made some type of deal with Kel Tec. The P11 was discontinued about the time...

      Anyone Ambidextrous using their pistol????

I am right-handed, but last year I tore my right bicep and needed 2 surgeries. For several months I could only use my left hand for everything. That's the hard way to become abmbidextrous. When I went back to shooting, I used my left hand for a while. I have been shooting gunfigher style (SA...

      Sporting Clay Range

      Sporting Clay Range

I have shot a couple of sporting clays fundraisers at Suger Creek. Very nice club and nice course. It's about a 4 hour drive for me. Indiana Gun Club is half that and is a great club to shoot slays at. I don't mind the drive there.

      practicing with an injury

I tore my right bicep (I'm right handed) last year and had surgery to repair it, and another surgery about 7 weeks ago to remove bone spurs that prevented supination of my arm. A couple of weeks ago my buddies and I are shot a sectional bullseye match in Elkhart. My right arm was still weak and...

      Not a fan But Curious?

I have a 1st generation Kimber SS Custom Target that I bought in 02/2000. Never any issues with it. It shoots great and handles my light loads (using 13 lb spring) of swaged lead Zero 185gr HPSWC & 200gr SWC bullets just fine. I have heard of the newer Kimbers having issue described by others...

To crimp or not to crimp

As others have stated: semi auto - crimp Bolt gun - no crimp I never crimp bottle-neck cartridges for bolt or single shot rifles or pistols.
