Lol @ all of you (us now)
One of us... one of us...
Anyway, check this out. Me and a club buddy have been talking CZ Shadow 2's. Both wanting one bad. Hell, I had a listing on here offering everything but my first born plus cash in trade and still couldn't score.
So I get a hold of...
Thanks for coming out today Martin. I met you but didn't squad with you. I hope you had a great time! We had 3 first time Steel Challenge shooters in our squad today as well and it went great.
Well done. I'm in the same boat here. To scared to mess up my G34.
Maybe I'll finally take the plunge because I'm building one hell of a "glock knuckle" on my middle finger. I have soft girl hands with no callousing and this is unacceptable :nono:
Finger grooves: I vote yes
Got it, maybe I'll communicate a bit and get some work done to mine. Before that I'll have to really research what upgrades to do.
Firs thing's first, I may upgrade the controls. The mag release seems fine but the other controls felt very tight to the frame and maybe hard to get to fast. Of...
I would like to add that my first shoot was a steel challenge at WRPC 2 months ago. Since then I've shot 2 USPSA matches there and will shoot steel there this Saturday.
When I asked about watching they told me the same thing "if you have a gun just sign up and shoot".
I was super nervous...
I was able to shoot an urban grey shadow 2 yesterday. I've held and dry fired a few shadows but this is first one I shot. Without even trying I rang stell 16 out of 17 times firing as fast as i could choosing random steel plates.
It was epic. I went to my shop and i said "just find whatever...
What about ergonomics? I have seen more than one person say the ergonomics of the shadow 2 are better than the Accushadow.
If anyone has experience with both can you confirm this and why? I've not seen a lot of specifics except for someone saying some of the controls on the S2 are extended...
This is interesting. Someone else told me I could do fine with an original shadow and some work done to it as well.
However, I'm in love with the blue grips and will put them on a shadow 2 or Accushadow. Either way.
Also, while I do shoot steel challenge I'm having more fun with USPSA...
See that's what I'm figuring the logic is. And I'm shooting as much competition as I can so I'm thinking this will be perfect for me. The Accushadow I have a chance at is about $200-250 more than a Shadow 2. I could do it but I'm on a slightly tight budget right now so it's a tough call
Love it. I believe all home defense guns should have a WML. Keeping that mind, I like the idea of having it on your EDC as well. The thought process (for me anyway) is that with defensive weapons the more consistent the better.
I don't know how much difference it would really make but if I'm...
Curious about the differences between the Shadows. I've got some stuff listed here in the classifieds to trade for one and I'm also working a deal locally for one. However, my local deal is only for an Accushadow and it costs enough more than a Shadow 2 to make me weigh my options a little more...
Tried to make a deal my local gun shop today. The order was ready to go but the shadows had just gone out of stock so this offer still stands.
Current offer
The 1911 Competition Series
OWB Safariland holster, unopened
DPMS AR15 with a cheap micro red dot on it and some flip up sights...
I've actually seen this video when out hunting for training vids. I really liked what he had to say!
Good call. I get ya completely. I think I would have had a tough time understanding what I needed to fix in the beginning but I can definitely see myself ditching the laser at the point I am...
Speaking of finding matches. Some of the podcasts I listen to (specifically the Make Ready podcast), the guys are saying they're shooting multiple matches A WEEK! I wanna know how I can manage that around here.
I really do need to get a reloading setup. That part loses me too. Some people recommend a couple items, some say you need like 5+ different pieces of equipment.
I've been saving most of my brass so once I get it I'll be able to start right away. Just gotta put the time into figuring out the...
I hear ya. I do use dead trigger for multi shot training excercises but I have to disagree about the laser. While I can definitely live without the Mantis, the laser feedback I get on those trigger presses for a mere $40 has given me so much to use to improve my grip.
I can aim at something...
