I agree this one may be multi-year.
That said, it does remind me quite a bit of the one that began in December 2012 and went on for a few years. I'd argue these past 10 months or so have been uglier than the first year of that one, and this one does look like it might hit harder and last longer...

I've loved receiving ammo as a gift since I was a kid, and as an adult I often give it.

Certainly some protection, and the price is bangin'. Doesn't seem you could go hellish wrong, even if you just kept it for secondary safe or ammo safe, IMO.
