Our swimmers are making big time drops, which is good, obviously. Our closest competition, as a country is Australia. We got our first two Olympians tonight and we had a world record set in the Women's 100 Butterfly. Our first two Olympians are from the Men's and Women's 400 Freestyle. Katie Ledecky goes back for her fourth Olympics and Aaron Shackell from Carmel Swim Club in Indiana goes to his first Olympics.- Doug28450

There are three local swimmers that I know of. All three from Valpo. Two women in the 100 and 200 Breast Stroke and one man in the short Freestyle events. The two women swim with Valpo Swim Club and the man swims with Indiana Swim Club.- Doug28450

USA Swimming Olympic Trials start tomorrow morning and run through Sunday Evening 7/22. The meet is on the NBC group, Peacock, USA and NBC. Prelims on Peacock, Finals on NBC.
