      What’s a good amount to have?

      Several people have mentioned AMEX. I have found JMBullion dot com to always have better prices. Just throwing my 2 cents out there. Never had an issue with an order from them either. Go to their "sale" tab and you can almost always buy silver for just over spot.

      Any drawbacks to non AOW firearm?

      I have an AR pistol which is just under 26". I was already thinking about having the muzzle device (which will be a suppressor qd mount), pinned and welded on the barrel. If I do, the weapon will now be over 26", and no longer a pistol. It also won't be an AOW. It will be in that weird...
