I bought a TP9SFx about a year ago. There are a few cons but once I got all the information, it has turned into one of my favorite guns. Here is what I had issues with and what I found out:
In the first few hundred rounds, I was having quite a few stovepipes. Since I was using all different...
I got excited about the $250 Shield from PSA until I figured out you have to pay shipping and tax. $285 before FFL fee just isn't that great of a deal on the Shield.
Here is one of the reasons that many banks don't let customers swap cash for cash (other than the obvious money laundering).... Believe it or not, banks charge business customers to do change orders. So when they come in with $500 and want quarters, dimes, nickels, etc, the banks charge them a...
Very true on the money laundering thing as well. I know some banks have a limit to how much cash a non account owner can deposit into an account.
I've never heard of the cash for cashiers check policy. However, if you pay more than $3000 in cash for a monetary item, it has to be reported...
I have worked in banking for quite some time. I have a couple questions... Are you an owner or co-owner of your son's account? If not, did you have his account number to provide to them?
The reason I ask is because a lot of banks are taking measures to help protect people's account...
I think the evolution of ammo has a lot to do with it. 9mm ammo got sooo much better that there really wasn't the need for the 40 S&W anymore. I think it has kind of got stuck as the in-between round, which can be good or bad- depending on how you look at it. If people are worried about...
45+ Rounds of 9mm and 2 defensive knives.. Guess you aren't going down without a fight lol. I just dont like that much stuff weighing my shorts down. I keep my extra mags in the truck. I always think of a handgun as a tool to get back to safety as quick as possible, not really go to war with...
I guess it's not really a concealment problem, more of a "It's 90 degrees and I dont want all of this heavy stuff on me because I'm already sweating" problem. Why do you carry multiple knives? And why so many mags? Just curious for your reasoning.
I apologize in advance if there is already a thread on this. I used the search and couldn't find one that was relatively new.
One of these days, it will warm up in Indiana, or that's what I keep hearing. I just want some opinions on what you all use for summer carry. During the winter, I...
I am kind of in the boat where I am struggling to get my post count up because of a few reasons:
-I am new with a very low post count, so what do I know about firearms?
-I enjoy reading many of these posts and don't really have much to add to a majority of the conversations.
-I don't...
For people that don't mind 40, now is the best time ever to buy them and stock up on ammo. It seems like a lot of places are closing out their 40 handguns. Ammo can also easily be purchased for under 30 cents/round.
The .380 section really opened my eyes. It seems like the rounds that expand really under penetrate. I really have been considering moving my LCP out of my carry rotation and this kind of makes me want to do it even more.
Yeah I agree for the most part. Still interesting to see some of premium stuff not expand and over penetrate. Wish I could afford to shoot thousands of rounds of good SD ammo!
I found an excellent article on Self-Defense Ammo. They have tested many different brands and loads in different calibers. Also looks like it's an ongoing process. Hope this helps someone make an ammo choice!

I am also amazed to see some of the ammo prices at gun shows. You always have the people with the dusty ammo boxes trying to sell them for double the price you can get them everywhere else...
Honestly, I don't think that they know more about supply and demand.. but they have a valuable tool to price items- the internet. You can literally take 30 seconds to look up a price of a new gun on the internet and then price what you have accordingly.
I did post that I agreed with CM saying that INGO is more fairly priced than sites like Armslist. I have seen some fair deals on here. I have also noticed that people on here are quick to lower the price if they find out that it's not going to sell at the posted price.
I do agree that Ingo prices are much better than Armslist. It's just weird to me when I see a used gun priced $100 more than when you can get it for brand new. But hey, that $5 Uncle Mike's holster doesn't come with the gun at the store!
