What I noticed at the Indy 1500 Gun Show today

shooting in the rain
The rain is cooling the air and the round off as it goes down range and causing the variation. Also, if you are leaving a live round in a hot chamber for a bit before sending it down range it will cause and even bigger variation from the round being heated and then sent into the cold rain...- FrogLube

I bought the SC earlier this year and have put about 3000 rds down range without problem. I love it because unlike other subs, it actually feels like you are well armed even though it's a 9. I carry the short mag and use the extended for spare. Every range I've been to or class I've taught... -
