I had a Yugo SKS and put a decent quality folding stock on it, but I liked the old wooden stock much more since it had better balance, better feel, and seemed much more sturdy. I would recommend that you save your $$ for a different gun and leave the SKS as is.

I have seen the Kahr PM9 and the PPS side by side, and I personally liked the PM9 better because it just seemed to be built better. However, I really liked the mag release on the PPS.
I am considering getting a small single stack 9mm, and the Kahr PM9 and CM9 both are the same size and basic gun, but the CM9 doesn't have the match grade rifling and basically has a little less fit and finish than the PM9.

I would say that "surrendering" our firearms which the US Constitution clearly states that we have a right to "keep and bear" might not be the best idea.
If what Valerie Jarrett said before the election is true, "Congress will not be a problem for us this time" we could conceivably see serious restrictions fairly soon.
