Most people who shoot Production (the division stock Glocks would fit in) shoot 9mm because there is no scoring advantage to shooting .40 as there is in other divisions such as Limited. Considering that, and the cost of ammo these days, I'd definitely get a 9mm. If you get serious about this...

All but 2 of the shots in the video I posted were hits in the A-zone (5.9x11") of a USPSA target 30' away... tactics aside, competition shooters are the best shooters in the world. Period. My point is that there is no reason you can't shoot that fast and hit the target every time. Too many...
And what, hit the innocent bystanders behind the target with the other 13-15? There is no reason you can't shoot accurately, even at that speed. It happens all the time in our "gamer" world.

I haven't found any other parts that break so easily on the XD, but something to keep in mind is to make sure you have the guide rod absolutely centered before you put the slide back on... if you don't, the slide can get stuck halfway back and require some serious beating to remove.
Long transitions... this one's easy. Just dry fire while listening to the following:)

Awesome, you're on 2 with me! I was hoping to get some good video of myself... I'm thinking it would be neat to splice the hat-cam footage with the 3rd person. Or maybe picture in picture like this... :) YouTube - USPSA - SJC Glock 17 Open - 24 May 09 (HD & Hat Cam)
You must have gotten mine from the Cooper tunnel stage... I had 2 Mike there, but they didn't show up in the results. :): I would just e-mail Mark and ask him about it.
Great stages today. I especially liked the 32 round one. I brought my camera as a warm-up for Mississippi next week:

Or do what I did with my friend the other day... get on Google Maps and look up every Dick's and Wal-Mart in Indy and tag team them on the phone. It's out there, you just have to make the effort to find it. Then bring lots of friends to get around Wal-Mart's box limit :)
