I was too busy looking at her... gun. I actually don't mind shooting in the rain at all - it is the other stuff that sucks. I don't think the scores for South Central are up yet because the scoresheets got destroyed...
If it rains, I am skipping this... you guys who weren't at South Central this month have no room to talk! I was ready to take my shirt off as soon as we got in the car at one point and send you all an HTFU e-mail when I got home.
Don't see any reason for it being canceled or anything... I plan on being there too. Scores will be posted at Practical Shooters { www.practicalshooters.com } - South Central after the match. See you there!
I'm sure it is in the same place as my Area 3 video and my clothes. ;)
Congrats on the win. Maybe I just need to learn the pull the trigger like a true Martens.
Try shooting the gun with your other (left, I'm guessing?) hand, which should tell you if the problem is with your technique or gun. This pattern is very common with new XD shooters, and I had the same problem when I first got mine. When I used my left hand instead of right, it went the other...
Great match, I liked the difficulty of some of the shots. Good mix of run-and-gun and accuracy. I took the "shoot slower" suggestion seriously when a primer came out and prevented my gun from going back into battery. 40+ second run on a 24 round stage. That'll get me killed! :)
Ah, but I'm sure it would be much easier to teach Mr. Race Car driver how to drive on the street than it would be to teach a new driver to do the same OR to teach a regular driver how to drive on a racetrack. Mastering the fundamentals of driving/shooting is the key becoming a good...
I'm afraid I will have to skip this and all future USPSA matches since I might develop some bad habits there...
Just kidding. I will be there. My ammo situation is not looking as good as I thought it was, so I may have to order some Montana Gold bullets and *gasp* actually use my Square Deal...
This makes about as much sense as saying that racing on a track doesn't prepare you to drive on the street. Just because somebody is driving flat-out at the car's limits doesn't mean they can't tone it down and use a little common sense when they leave the racetrack. The only "habit" you...
Here it is for your enjoyment: WVPPS: USPSA Stage 1, April 29 2007
22 seconds!! And what am I doing shooting it from the left side?! Nobody starts at Grand Master... unless you're Matt Cheeley or Ben Stoeger.
You sir, are correct. USPSA update posted today, and your classifier from this weekend should be a solid C too. :yesway:
Btw, if you write down your hit factor on the classifier at a match, you can go to the USPSA Classifier Percentage Calculator and look it up when you get home.
They update once a month shortly after the 10th, with all the classifiers they receive by the 10th. I'd expect an update either today or tomorrow... they seem to be a bit slow this month.
I did the exact same thing. None of my 5 mikes of the day were on difficult targets.
I also did a magnificent job of managing my classification, shooting a 69.27% and ensuring that I inch up in B class while leaving a healthy 6% margin from A. I have learned my lesson and plan on staying in B until I dominate it. Funny how I beat Tony on that stage...hmm...
