best ammo for ruger 77/44 magnum

The evolutions are the best by far. I have had some great groups at 200 yards and one ragged hole at 100.

Would you stop and help an accident victim?

Used to be the law you had to stop here due to the extreme conditions but I but I don't think it is anymore. But I stop everytime, accidents or breakdowns, and always will. Of course gun laws up here are a little looser and I always have protection in case its not a true breakdown.

      .22 pump

I have had two 61's a mag and regular 22, two 572's, one trombone, and a 12. The trombone and the 61's are great but for the money its hard to beat the 572.

      H1N1 in your house?

My son was confirmed having it on Thursday but we caught it early and it looks like he will be fine. I think I had it first from a short hospital stay but I have been on so many drugs I haven't noticed much another than a fever.

      lever action wanted, any suggestions?

For a first cheaper lever I would go for a Ruger 96. I have one in 44 and in 22 mag and the have the smoothest shortest throw of all the levers I have tried.

      Hornady Leverevolution

Forgot to add the 265gr 444 marlin evolutions make a dandy handload in the 44 mag.

      Got a New Deer Rifle

If you seat your bullets deeper you should be ok on the mag. 300's are about as big as you can get in there and not all factory loads will work. Federal 300's work in mine, but as you found out the evolutions are the ticket anyway. Good luck.

      Hornady Leverevolution

I've shot the 44 evolutions out of about every type 44 rifle (788,77/44,99/44, 96/44, ruger carbine, and the 1894) and have had excellent results on paper up to 200 yards. I even took the 77/44 sheep hunting due to its light weight. No sheep so no results. On a side note the only problem I...

      50 post rule

Thanks for all the responses. I understand what you are all saying and the gunshop comparison was noted as being different cause of the business aspect. I have met more people in my life (many of them close friends) buying and selling guns than I have than explaining "what the best bear...

      50 post rule

I know this has probably been beat to death but I don't quite understand this rule. Quote form FAQS "We do not intend for the Classifieds section to become another "Craigslist" or "eBay" for guns. We require 50 "quality" posts because many of our members do not like to do business, especially...
