      Thanks for all the feedback. I'm going to pursue an AR-style varmint rifle, though I'll have to wait awhile for the scope. I understand prices are a little inflated right now, but who knows when they won't be; or even go up from here. How am I doing with justifying my purchase?

      tikka and scope

      I just bought a Tikka T3 SS Laminate stock in .308. Put a silver Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 on it. Can't wait to shoot it for the first time next week.

      New Rifle today

      Bigum, I understand your paid I've been amazed by the tactics I've come up with to "shelter" my wife from my ammo and gun buying. She doesn't like guns. I've had them all my life. Something has to give. WalMart on lunchbreaks and a quick stop after work seem to be working for me.

      New Here. hello

      Hi. I'm just recently gotten interested in hunting and guns again after a long layoff. Grew up on a farm, which made hunting easy. Now live in the suburbs, which makes it a real pain. Anyway, I've got lots of questions and look forward to partcipating on this site.
