One of the best car chase scenes.... EVARRRR

I was hoping that when I opened this thread I would be greeted with scenes from the original Gone in 60 Seconds or Ronin! Both are excellent. The back story on the original Gone in 60 Seconds is as fun as the movie. Gone in 60 Seconds (1974 film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

      which glock?

It is hard to go wrong with the G19 or G26. They are very controllable.

      Glock 19 first handgun buy

I have that poster! I also have a 8x10" version that the Gunny was kind enough to autograph for me.

My S&W Customer Service Experience (why I'm a fanboy)

S&W's service definitely rocks. I have had the pleasure of dealing with them twice and they went above and beyond both times.

      Your first car

My first car was a '91 Geo Storm. I actually wish I still had it as a beater. It ran forever, got decent mileage, and was actually a fun little car. It was that hideous teal green color that was so popular back then.

      Knock-off ACOG

The "knock off" ACOGs that I have seen are only similar in looks to real ACOGs. They share nothing in common in terms of function. ACOGs have some of the best, most intuitively designed reticles on the market, excellent quality glass, extreme durability, and great customer service. The knock...

      Optics for AR

If weight is the primary concern - T1 or H1 If cost is the primary concern - M2 or C3 If battery life and commonality are the primary concern - M4 or M4S If extreme durability is the primary concern - M4 or M4S (all Aimpoints are VERY durable)

The Devil is in the Details

Nice work. That 1911 has a new lease on life!

      Optics for AR

Aimpoints are excellent optics especially when you learn how to really make the most of them. They are extremely well suited for the AR-15. Battery life is amazing and they are extremely durable. I have owned and liked EOTechs but, in my opinion, they do not compare.

      Glock 19 first handgun buy

The G19 is a great first gun. It's great for the range, perfect for carry, durable, and accurate. Congrats on a fine choice.

duracoat on handguns? does it decrease the value?

I have found that it can definitely make it harder to sell. People just do not seem to want to buy a gun that has been coated with another person's favorite color scheme. People don't seem to mind black as much as other colors. Even if it doesn't make a gun harder to sell, you won't get any...

      VERY interesting, "Solar roadways"

That is a very clever solution. Think of the amount of surface area that all of our roads currently represent!

      Tilley Hats

Tilleys are excellent hats for the outdoors. There really isn't a bad choice, but I hear that the hemp hats are really amazing. They are very durable, breath well, and dry quickly.

What's your minimum mag count for a carry weapon?

I do not keep them all loaded but I like to have at least 10 magazines (and often more) that have been tested for function for each firearm I own. They are going to get dropped, stepped on, and used one after the other in training so it is nice to have plenty of spares.

      Why no big shops?

It was a sad day when they announced they weren't moving ahead with their plans to build. Does anyone know if it is a permanent stop or just a delay?

Hello all, My name is Matt and, while I have lurked here for some time, I have never posted. I have been around guns for most of my life. In the last several years, my firearms interest and training has taken a more serious tone as the reality of being the protector of a family and home begin...
