      Suggestions for reloading manual?

How is the Nosler manual? I've been looking for one but just haven't shelled out the coin for it yet. How does it differ from the Lee?

where to get cheap cast bullets?

I had no idea it was that cheap to cast. After I get into reloading for a little while and gain a bit more knowledge, I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for the info.. Super38 :D

WTB 1911 - best bang for the buck?

Although I said I look online, my last few buys have been at local dealers but I don't mind saving myself some money if I can find it online for a few hundred cheaper. As a matter of fact, a good friend of mine, an injured Vietnam vet (agent orange) makes money each and every time I buy a gun...

      Several 9mm questions

Yes, I did make that comment about carrying the largest caliber that you can control. It's not a difficult concept to understand. I can carry, with confidence a .45 but have many friends, some because of age and other because of size, the .45 acp is a little too excessive for them. Meaning, they...

WTB 1911 - best bang for the buck?

Feel the guns locally and then make a purchase online. There a few good deals out there to be had. Couple months back, I picked up a Colt Trooper 4" at $325, deep blue, two grips and two holsters. Deals are out there, just take your time looking around. Super38

      springfield armory champion 1911

I like the Champions a lot. In fact, I have one park and one in SS. Excellent shooters. I think they make great carry guns, so much, that it is the gun I carry (usually the SS because this one has the night sights.) I would never, ever carry a gun that I, myself, have not shot. That's just...

.45, .38, & .357 chrono results, and why you shouldn't trust reloading manuals

I do! I would never take any one person's word for a load. I did that once - from the Lee manual. It was a hot load. I wouldn't consider loading unless I have at least two reliable sources. Thanks for the .02 ;) Super38

Is that a 45LC? How much less, if you don't mind me asking. Thanks Super38

      What makes a handgun concealable?

+1 Colt used to make a CCO which was a full size 1911 barrel but a short grip. That was the way to go. Super38

What is your "go to" powder?

I've been collecting my brass for .223, one of these days I'll actually try to reload some of it. Super38

.45, .38, & .357 chrono results, and why you shouldn't trust reloading manuals

Right now I compete (USPSA / IDPA) and have been using factory ammo but this year I will be using my reloads, so the loads need to reliable and somewhat accurate. Super38

      Suggestions for reloading manual?

Lee is a pretty informative one. I also have Lyman and then a few powder reference guides. Try a few of the online stores. Grafs, midway, lock, stock and barrel, etc. Some these stores have decent price on the manuals. Also, online references by the powder manufactures cna be of assistance...

      What makes a handgun concealable?

Heavy duty belt, good holster and a Hawaiian shirt - then you're good to go! Super38

.45, .38, & .357 chrono results, and why you shouldn't trust reloading manuals

Is it imperative to have a chrony when working up reloads? I've been going by the book and consulting with other reloaders. Super38

What is your "go to" powder?

Everyone says that WW 231 is a good choice for .45acp but I can't find any. If I find some I might change my mind on the ones I am using. Super38
