Since its your first, you're going to be cleaning as much as your shooting so I would get something that is easy to clean as well as shoot. Glock is the simplest you can get and really the best bang for your buck.
I have a 3.5 lb on my cc 26 and my G21 duty. Very nice, night and day difference, and as far as the adrenaline part any well and properly trained shooter, either police or civilian, knows that the finger isn't on the trigger til the sights are on target.
Can you let us know what you find out from Sig. I am getting ready to purchase the 938 nightmare but this has me second guessing. I have never bought a new series this soon after they came out but the 938 is a very nice looking gun.
I'm right there with ya himant, I carried 1911 for a long time, became a police officer and now have to carry a Glock. Not bad but long and hard trigger that I'm still not use to. Not knocking the Glocks but just not big fan.
I agree with TopDog, 1911's u either love or hate. Buy ya a used RIA. If you love it then save up a go with a Kimber or Colt. I have a 70 series Gold Cup and that is the best of many that I have had.
G17 is 4.5" barrel length, G19 has 4" barrel length, and the 26 has a 3.5" barrel. So if you are looking for a cc then the 26 is yr best bet. Although the factory mag is only 10 rounds, but if you need more than 10 rounds at one time than u need more practice or yr outta luck anyways.
Need help, just received a Colt 70 series gold cup match grade, it was my fathers and he passed away. I am looking to find someone that can put lettering in the grips for me. Does anyone know of somewhere locally that can do that or is it something that I should send out.
I am looking for a slim look but not real small, I have large hands so I really don't want to go as small as the Nano or some of the other sub compacts. I know there are a lot of choices so it's kinda like picking out ur fav skittles color but was trying to narrow down the playing field
Alright INGOers, I'm sure you have answered this a million times so what is one more. I am looking for a compact 9mm for pp carry, I Love the looks an the feel of the SA Emp and the Colt New Agent but not the price tag on them. Does anyone have any Suggestions on what to look at from there...
My wife told me the same thing. At the time she didn't know they made pink guns. Two weeks later I came home with a Walther pk380 for her and now she is the one asking when are we going shooting again. She has put over 1000 rounds through it and no problems at all.
