Personally, I can't say I've ever had a problem with Cosner's. I guess I don't go to a gun shop to "shoot the breeze" so, maybe I don't notice the unfriendliness.
David usually does have a very good selection of stuff you won't find elsewhere in his back vault. I have picked up some nice...
They do however offer "smoke-coating". If you leave your firearm there for service/repair for any lenght of time...it's returned to you oddly smelling of cigar smoke.
I'll pass thank-you.

I got to see the new addition to the family too. Sure had a good looking head of blond hair...how cute.
My visit there was an early Christmas for me.....I took home a Wilson "Bill Wilson Carry" 1911. Mark was great to work with and I look forward to throwing more business his way.

Thank-you.
So now I know I can continue to give the Peddler my business.
Please know, I wasn't trying to be difficult....just wanted to know the Columbus "score" on firearm retailers.
Thanks,

Well as far as I'm concerned...if the gunstore doesn't get a name....it didn't happen.
The WHOLE point of a post like LGS FAIL should be to help the rest of us avoid the same kind of situation (poor customer service).
So now I guess I should avoid BOTH Phoenix and the Peddler......?

Worst - Ruger 10/22. Would not, could not run an entire mag without failure to fire or a failure to eject. Soured me on Ruger's forever.
Best - HK USP compact in .45. Has become my "gold standard" of handgun comparisons...have never found anything better.

Stopped by on Friday and visited the shop for the first time since Mark opened up full time. Was very happy with what I saw. Good selection of firearms, reloading supplies, and ammo.
Ended up buying two holster belts, some Wilson lube and ammo. Good prices and great conversation. Mark even...
Are there regular hours at BTB now? I used to stop by once in a while when Bob owed the store but, now everytime I go by it's closed.
Also, do they/will they still be a Wilson Combat dealer????

The list begins and ends for me with the Browning Auto 5. I've had other scatterguns and they were o-kay but, for me, nothing shoulders better that the old "hump-back".
JMB was the master.

Acme is a great shop. Joe, Clint and Curtis will go the extra mile to find what your looking for. I buy propably 90% of my firearms there. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Unless you have the converter to use 7.62x39 ammo, finding food for your VZ will be difficult. I once checked into buying a VZ because it was different than everyone elses rifle. The non existant ammo situation made me stop. I've also been told that the "converters" are not all that reliable...
Good selection of black rifles...just be prepared to smell like cigar smoke when you leave. Also, the language gets pretty "colorful" sometimes...you've been warned.

I would venture it'd bring $450 to $550. The old "humb-back" doesn't get the respect it deserves in my opinion. Thinking about carrying an old Browning on a cold November morning out looking for bunnies sure does bring back good memories though.
