I wish the HK P7 and the Browning Auto 5 (hump-back) were both still being produced. Also, would love to have a 770 and the other "hunting" long arms of HK.

I've had two -
1) Beretta 92. Never could get it to any kind of consistant accuracy.
2) Ruger 10/22. Total piece of junk. Clunky mags, poor accuracy and overall cheap feel. Ruined me on Ruger ever since.

Have had a 6-9 for several years....use 30 mags without any problems. Best bet would be to find a friend or friends who have both sizes and give them a try. The larger size might be what works for you.

I own several HK firearms. From the companys humble post war beginnings with the HK4, through todays USP and longarms. You might say they do "do" it for me. Being a fan of German engineering, I have always gravitated toward Heckler & Koch....and never been disappointed.
I have several...
Being one who doesn't like to drive...I can't imagine doing it for a living. For me, sitting through traffic jams and construction everyday would be a little piece of hell. My blood pressure would be through the roof.
I applaud those who can do it, it just isn't going to be me.

I have a Savage 99 lever rifle chambered in .300 Savage caliber. Love that old rifle. Easy to carry, easy to shoot and just plain fun. Don't really know about the "new" Savage offerings but, the vintage stuff can be a nice addition to your collection.

You won't find a better shop to work with than Acme. Joe, Clint and Curt are all top notch guys. One thing I learned is, if you don't see it on the shelf...ask, Joe will likely have it in his storeroom. Acme has never disappointed me.

A lot of brave young men and women have died for the Stars & Stripes. While I respect your right to fly whatever "version" of historic U.S. Flag you choose, I will continue to fly the officially recognized Stars and Strips of the United States.

Ah yes, several days on the road with the family. What fun....just be ready for that "smell" (dirty socks, dropped and forgotten cheetos, spilled Coke growing mold) from the back of the RV - ha,ha. Priceless and fun memories in the making.
I wish you well...have fun.

Acme is a great shop as long as your dealing with Joe, Clint or Curtis. However, Steve (the dad) is not into customer service. The shop does better when they keep him (Steve) in the back room away from customers.
Bottom line - I love Acme.....I just avoid Steve.

I use both...like them both. Never heard of "cutting" Ballistol with water....I never have and have never had any problems. Use both on everthing from cheapy Mosin to Wilson 1911. Take your pick.

I have always had good and friendly service at BTB. Mark consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty for me as a customer.
Seymour is lucky to have BTB.

My feelings about Elmo's is "why would I ever go there again". There are many other gun shops that actually WANT my business.
The bottom line is that "yes, I am doing you a favor by shopping/spending my money in your shop"....I will not be treated poorly you or your employees if you want my...
Frog lube sounds a lot like Ballistol. If I recall, Ballistol is made in Germany and is also bio-based. Can be kind of hard to find but, I've used it and it's great. Might try some Frog-lube and see how it stacks up.
Also, a kudo's to Acme. Joe, Curt and Clint are great guys to deal with.
