      Radio wave enhanced water

I had dinner with Elvis Presley last night at the Area 51 dining hall. He told me that the "radio water" thing is totally legit.

Where can I find a 7.62x54r Semi auto!?

Not on the AK platform but, you might find a Russian SVT-40 for around 1K. At least you'd have a semi-auto in 7.62x54r. -G

      any scotch drinkers in here?

Over the years I have tried many brands of Scotch. The only one I repeatedly return to....the only one that "haunts" me, that comforts me as I set near the fireplace on a cold winter night ........is Laphroaig. It is a dark and smokey (lots of peat) mistress. I am hopelessly in her grasp. Love...

      nissan/cummins

Have family in Columbus one of which works at Cummins. Current corporate policy seems to be to flood Columbus with Indians (from sub-continent) and Chinese...can you say Green Card x 1000's. Alas, I guess there are no locals or Americans qualified to build today's Cummins engine. Driving...

      help picking engravings & quotes

Part of Psalm 58:7 from the King James version are not too bad and might work for you and your daughters. ..."when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces"... -G

      GSG STG-44 .22 lr

No intent to step on anyone's toes....no offense intended. If it works for you...that's all that matters.

      GSG STG-44 .22 lr

Had one for a while. No problems but, couldn't get past all the plastic inside the receiver.....if I remember correctly, the bolt carrier and some other internal parts were plastic. Decided that IMHO longevity probably was not there. Sold it for what I had in it. No regrets. -G

      Anybody try skydiving?

Having split open my head falling from a roof as a 10 year old...there is NO power on earth other than certain death that would make me jump out of an airplane. If I'm more that 10 feet off the ground my hands get sweaty, my stomach knots up and my head gets dizzy. I can take a lot of...

Heckler & Koch and "mall ninjas"

O.k, your right. Guess I'll have to dump my HK's now. Just hope I can even give them away. Will you take them for me? Please? Guess I should have bought Hi-points' instead....live and learn. Where would I be without people like you to help. -G

Heckler & Koch and "mall ninjas"

Don't know about the mall ninja thing but, I'll take an HK rifle or pistol ANY day over just about anything else. Loved one of the previous comments about people "who don't know about firearms buy HK"....that's probably one of the stupidest statements I've heard in a long while. Do your...

      Anderson Falls

Been there many times as a teenager. Never found any mushrooms though....was too busy "entertaining" whatever young lady was with me at the time. -G

Gun Brand - Best "resale value name"?

For handguns I think Heckler & Koch. For rifles I think Browning. For shotguns I think Browning. -G

Was looking at past picts of rifles I have sold or traded ...

      Townhouse Army Surplus in Brownstown.

Does anyone know if Townhouse Army Surplus in Brownstown is permanently closed? Have been past there 3 or 4 times in the last month and it's closed each time. Just wondering. -G

      Caracal Recall (again)

You guys do know that this pistol was designed by Wilhelm Bubits of Glock and Steyr fame...don't you? Yes they are having some issues right now but, a Caracal is a fine handgun. I have two now and love them. Would be interested also why Bradis doesn't want to sell them any longer? Think you...

      The sexiest rifle - Ever

O.k, I'll be the lone voice in the wilderness that says it....."bull pup rifles are just UGLY". There, I said it. They may be the "cats meow", work better, point better, be more accurate, make fresh coffee too but...they're still UGLY. I'll take a deeply blued and walnut stocked "old style" non...

      no FAL love?

The IOR Valdada glass is good. I've been told it's made by/from the old Schott company in (East) Germany. Regardless, it is crystal clear. Adjustments are well laid out and easy to make. Only down side of IOR is that their scopes are quite heavy - but built like tanks. To sum up - 1) I...
