      Electronic Hearing Protection

      What kind of decibel level are those kind of things generally rated for? I've never tried a set, would like to see if I liked them before buying..

      rem 700 308 scope help

      The Leupold Ultralights are really nice if you want to save some weight. I pretty much switched everything out to Leupolds except on a couple of guns, trying to come up with funds for those now.

      Anyone here love chainsaws?

      Wow that is a cool collection! Years ago my wife asked what I wanted for father's day and I mentioned a chainsaw. Two weeks later she presented me with a Craftsman electric chainsaw. Not bad for a little import but can't really do much with it so I bought a Stihl instead.

      I'd have a look at the pawn shops. I see 870s from time to time around $150-200 used.

      Is Bubba'ing a rifle bad?

      Most of the Marlins I've ever encountered in pawn shops were bubba-ized with see through rings and aftermarket sling swivels.

      Ruger Gunsite Scout

      I have handled one but that's my only experience. I do have a Frontier model in 308 and like it a lot, not really crazy about the detachable mag on the Scout though. Best price I've seen on one is $750 plus tax.

      1911 Carry Question

      I'm in and out of the car a lot and like to wear sport coats so a shoulder holster gets the nod during the cooler months. Guess I need to look at my summer options some more.
