      Savage Rascal Scope

I put an old Bushnell 1.75-4x that I had laying around on my grandson's Rascal after limiting him to irons for the first 2 years. Talley medium rings on the OEM Savage Rascal base left just enough room to leave the rear sight in place, but the cheek weld would probably be better with low rings...

      Best bourbon under $50?

I don't drink at all anymore, but I do buy bottles as gifts on occasion. I live in close proximity to Louisville and I'm wondering about a couple of things. If I were to drive to Bardstown or some of the local distilleries would I be able to find these rare-ish versions in their gift shop(s)...

Which firearms are you thinking about buying in 2020?

You should ask your lovely wife if she want to sell it! Or maybe my wife should ask her? ;-)

      police academy question

My stepson was going through the ISP academy in 2012 when I found out he wasn't going to be issued a carbine, which surprised me. I don't recall the exact details, but at some point I found out that there were certain specifications for a duty rifle. I emailed the local post (Sellersburg) that...

      WTB: New-style Ruger Vaquero

My nephew (who's stationed in Okinawa) is looking for a stainless Vaquero in 45 Long Colt with a 4.62" barrel. He's pretty sold on that configuration, but might go for the 5.5" barrel. Anyone have one collecting dust that they'd let go?

      Bore Sighting

There are adjectives other than "old" which are more appropriate.

      Ads that miss the mark

But if they were competent wouldn't that make them "death merchants?"

      Best Chronograph

Those 2 facts have no bearing on "best."

      tape switch mounts?

The lead time is due to TNVC concentrating on the new model (linked below) that doesn't have the lead time. But I get wanting to keep your current tape switches. https://tnvc.com/shop/taps-sync-tactical-augmented-pressure-switch/

Holster for FN 509 Tactical with an RMR (OWB)

Contact Concealment makes Kydex OWB belt holsters for the 509 T. I've ordered one based on the excellent holster he made for my SP-01.

Any members making nylon tactical kit?

Who's the guy that makes the Urban ERT slings? I bet he could do it... pretty sure he is/was on INGO. Urban ERT Slings Single point and Two point slings for FNH PS90, Tavor, AR15 style rifles, shotguns, and any other weapon available.

Holster for FN 509 Tactical with an RMR (OWB)

I have the Henry IWB flashlight(?), but I'd like to hear what others have tried and like/dislike and why. In kydex (or equivalent) I'd want RMR, X300U and compensator compatible for range/USPSA use (though I don't own a compensator, I might). For a leather holster I'd probably not have the...

VLTOR A5: unobtainium? Who has it actually in stock?

G&R has just the BCM receiver extension, $44.95 BCM Intermediate Receiver Extension (A5 Buffer Tube)

VLTOR A5: unobtainium? Who has it actually in stock?

I've never tried one that I'm aware of and, to tell the truth, I always kinda figured it was more marketing than anything. Do they really smooth things out enough to be worth the extra cost?

      Decent optic options

In a nutshell, yes. How much "further out" do you expect the 4x to help you over the red dot?
