Yeah probably should have looked there. So if I were to take the 16" barrel off my current AR and replace it with a 11.5" barrel, I have to register the weapon with the ATF and get a stamp?
Good afternoon all. So I'm still trying to work out some details about an AR build I want to do. I'm wanting a short barrel rifle, but don't really want to bother with the paperwork of an SBR.
I was actually looking at a using a Magpaul MOE adjustable stock and either a 7.5" to 11.5" barrel...
Thanks guys, for the responses and mispelled title (trying to type on a stupid tablet).
No I never heard that Andersons were junk, they're just much cheaper.
All lowers everywhere are sold out it seems.
What about parts kits? I'm looking for a decent flat faced trigger but that is down...
Hey all, I know the AR build threads are a dead horse by now, but I have some questions before I start buying up some parts.
I know exactly what I want, small barrel, lightweight toy, basically. I want it to be a budget build but still use some good pieces. Optics will probably be iron sights...
I'll look into those.
I have an IWB and OWB alien gear. I tried carrying with the OWB the other day and it was impossible with my regular belt.
I was weary about them at first but it's a necessity at this point.
Do any of you use a gun belt? I've been looking at purchasing one and didn't know if anyone has first hand experience with a good or bad one?
Best I can tell bigfoot is the way to go???
These big box stores sell guns in waves. I like going to them to browse actually.
A good example is I'm looking for a new waterfowl shotgun. I've looked online and found some that I'm interested in. So I'll swing by the store to get my hands on them and see how they feel. Then I'll go shop...
I just went through this, kind of. I had a shield in .40. Honestly, I hated shooting it. There was a lot of recoil and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't grip it comfortably and with any sort of replication. My first shot was money, after that, I might as well have just thrown it at the...
The S&W Sport doesn't match up, option to option to the bushmaster. I really like the extractor and dust cover on the bm.
Also, what conditions are the broken ones under. Again, this isn't going to have a really high round count out of it. Probably a couple hundred a year, if that...
I can't think off the top of my head what year it is... 1848 or 1851... Anyways, it's a Springfield .58 caliber. Everything is tight and in very good shape.
Of course I can't figure out how to post pics or I could show you.
I've been looking at getting into the AR game.
I don't shoot a lot. It will not get a huge round count by any means.
I am plan on using this around the farm. Shoot random objects, coyotes, gophers, trips in the woods and just to play with. Like I said, it's not going to be a hardcore, high...
Look at the stoeger M line. I got an M3500 which is the top of the line, shoots 2.75 to 3.5. They are $650 at bass pro.
If you don't want to pay that much, they have the M2000 and M3000 also.
I like this idea. What type of location would be best though? Personal residence? I don't think you could just set up in any random park and pull out an arsenal.
Checked them both Mick, just the 10M.
Rich, any more details on that piece? And yes, i love this. I had an 870 with a rifled barrel, this is infintely better. It really shoots like a large high powered rifle, doesnt even feel like a shotgun.
Hey all, I have a marlin 512 shotgun. I have an offset mount from weaver but it isnt tall enough to use a 3x9 scope. I have the weaver one, i think it's 1 inch (the 10M model). Any thoughts? Know of a taller one?
I received a model 99 as a gift from my girlfriend who's stepfather passed away.
The story goes that it was brought home from his father in WWII.
Well the gun has been in a closet for quite some time, never being fired.
Everything works and is well kept. I am trying to go through and just get...
It looks cumbersome for close quarters. Shorten it and put a vertical magazine. Yeah it's less shots but you shouldn't need that many to clear a house. Would be great for a field rifle but as stated above, you'd have to have another person to carry magazines.
I too saw the origional episode...
I have a P90 and I think it's a excellent shooter. Too big to carry but shoots amazing. I've heard some bad things about the kel-tec reliability, hopefully this will solve that problem. Think I may have to pick one up.
