Thoughts on my first indoor range experience

I've never been to an indoor range either. However, after reading this, I may need to visit just to experience it. We have a few family farms that I'm in close proximity to and don't need to pay to shoot. Heck, I even have a free range ticket card from when I bought my G19. It's still in the...

Man the Line - possible rip off, anyone have any dealings with them?

I'm not sure about gun broker because I've only ever bought 1 item from there so far and used my credit card. Today actually :) However, in general, if it's a personal sale, I always use paypal and always use goods and services. It does cost the seller some money, only a few percentage points...

      Deer Season-Does?

I've found everyone has their own preference, as you can tell from this thread. Myself, October through November is all antler hunting. No small bucks or young bucks. Straight antler hunting. After November, I will shoot a doe for the meat. It's a high risk / high reward strategy but I'm good...

      Kids rate

Ha, well I definitely don't want any more!

I think CMP was set to release a large number of garands.

What is the most frivolous reason you ever bought a handgun?

I'm going to buy a S&W 500 at some point in my life. There's absolutely no reason to buy it, except I think it would be bad a** to shoot.

      Blueing

But if I have no intention at all about selling... Also, I don't think the value of one is that high in the first place. I appreciate the response and the help. I'm going to sit on it for a bit and not act too quickly.

      Blueing

Welp, I've done a ton of research and I think you're right, there's no easily purchased chemical that can remove cerakote. It will have to be blasted and like you said above, look like **** if you blast then try to blue. Interesting dilemma.

      Blueing

Those look great, but how do they hold up to rain? I've watched blued barrels start to rust just sitting in my stand.

      Blueing

To make a long story short, I've recently acquired a Marlin 336. It's a 1979 with the JM stamped barrel. I've seen both ways whether this should have a higher collector value or not, but I won't get into that. I've been wanting one of these for a very long time, with the vision of putting black...

Revolver fans! how many out there?

Here is my latest wheel gun and probably the most fun one I have. This counts as a wheel gun right... ???

      Stoeger M3500

I am selling my Stoeger M3500 in realtree camo and 26" barrel. It's their turkey gun but I used it for waterfowl mainly. I purchased the shotgun in Dec of 2012 but have only used it for waterfowl for 2 seasons. The first season wasn't a full season. Everything on the shotgun works well. I have...

First handgun for my son - advice on make and model?

If you're wanting to introduce him into shooting with something simple and not really any recoil, why not a 22 mag wheel gun? We have a taraus and it shoots great. It holds 7 rounds. Technically it's my wife's gun but she doesn't really ever shoot. I know the size difference in the 2 people is...

I'm new and your 50-post rule sucks! Please change it for my convenience.

I think you missed part of the message. The "search" feature mainly. People always complain on forums about people not using it enough. They're right. Just a little bit ago I was reading about people's thoughts and experiences with 6.8 spc. I didn't need to start a thread asking for them...

      NRA Supports Bump Stock Regulation

Correct, I have seen no bills. I was only stating it's an easy win for the NRA to say they don't support bump stocks. Now once pen goes to paper and they add a bunch of stuff, things will obviously change.
