      I thought about getting a non resident permit for IL (still have a lot of family there). But at $300+ I'll wait for reciprocity or the price to come down.

      I shoot RH AR's left handed. Save some money and just install ambidex. safety and charging handle, maybe a lefty mag release. The lefty charging handle is really handy when practicing and shooting. Just my advice.

      Can We shoot in Illinois?

      Color me wrong. I have never been able to in any gun store that I have been to in IL. I think I'll print this off and take it with me next time. Why do so many reject a perfectly legal transaction? Seems to me they would want to sell their goods.

      What's your best (and most recent) ammo buy- private purchase or commercial? I just bought 420 rounds of .223 Federal 62 gr. on strippers in cardboard with can for $90. Private sale Like to hear others buys.

      Cant buy ammo in IL w/o FOID. It is ok to shoot there as long as the gun is stored and transported legally. But Cook Co. is a whole different story all together.

      Love it. Appendix carry is little unsettling at first, but once I carried it enough it really is my favorite rig. I am quicker to the gun and even quicker on target. Can't say if I had a big gut that it would be too comfortable. But at 6', 210 it is really just right. Tuckable, easily...

      Best post yet. Heehee. A pretty crazy day for us in the Lansing area. A real body blow for the unions. Mounted police were there which was cool to see. Listening to the scanner, there were many cars towed today. Surveillance was pretty heavy too. Police must have had several rooftop observers...
