Love the Tokarev, cheap to shoot and kick butt power, its a magnum .30 . just do not dry fire ,some have trouble with firing pin breaking,i suspect doing that.
One thing ive found you cant go by the book always on seating depth. I loaded berry's plated in .45 by the book and they would even fit in my clips, nose shape dictates sometimes.
I reload my own ,I know, most think thats crazy as cheap as surplus is but I can load even cheaper . Not worry about corosive inaccurate mil. surplus. Ive taken the surplus apart and the bullet AND powder charge can be 2 grains differant from one to the next
Those match bullets are just fine for any game, unless dangerous game. I just find one good load for a rifle and stick with that one bullet, that way I dont have all kinds of differant ammo to re-zero for. Even most .22 rimfire brands hit and group in differant spots so I found what my rifle...
IF in a ar type rifle and many others Ive not seen it matter, depends on firing pin and how far it protrudes, there is a tool to measure this and you can adjust for safety reasons ,if a rifle slam fires something is wrong. Always make sure you use a primer that can be seated deep never flush...
Heck even a 44mag will tear up a canvas shooting bag rest. A guy once was going to shoot my 44 and wrapped his hand around the cylinder and I had to yell a fast warning at that.
