UPDATE: Just received my LTCH today!
After a few more complications (lack of communication between ISP and my local station that lead to me being a used and abused middle man), everything finally got sorted out.
After a total of 11 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days I can finally start to carry my...
Congrats, but know that I now despise you.
Been waiting for over 11 months now. (I had complications though. One being that L1 "lost" my fingerprints. Two being that the ISP decided to not tell me that until recently... that's after not responding to emails for the past 7-8 months.)
Just asked my grandpa(retired cop) about this and this is his(summarized) response:
He then added that you should always be courteous and follow the officer's directions in a timely manner, but I should think that's more obvious.
Still should have waited for a time where he was actually in fear for his life.
Of course, we don't know anything about the man yet. Maybe his house has been broken into multiple times and he finally decided to purchase a gun to defend it. Maybe he was jumpy because he thought there was an...
Yep. I don't think anyone reads through all the laws before/while applying for their license like they should though. I find that kind of reading interesting though, so I'm on the extreme on the other side of the spectrum.
Sidenote: I didn't look up how hard it is to get a license/permit in NC...
My train of thought exactly.
Way too similar for comfort.
I haven't followed him as closely as I should. Although I do remember reading that he's a Ball State grad, so that's one point against him.
You may have something there.
UPDATE: Got a call from L1 Identity Solutions today saying I had to reschedule to be reprinted. They were deeply sorry for the problem they caused, of course. Anyway, I got printed again today and so it's back to waiting.
I'm still wondering why, after the first...
Mine's pretty beat up as well since I use it for about everything. I liked the way it looked new, but I love the way it looks wore in. Each scratch/scuff has a story (albeit most aren't interesting, but it makes it mine.)
This can't be said enough.
Every time a friend says that they're afraid of firearms or that they don't understand why anyone would want/need one, it turns out that they've never been taught anything about them.
As with most things, fear of firearms is because they don't understand them.
Got me there...
;)
EDIT: I've been around INGO for a little while (viewing more than posting obviously), but I've noticed there's an obvious lack of reaction-gifs compared to other forums around the internet. Is this a site-policy or just something that doesn't happen?
I carry my Spyderco Endura 4 (Stainless Steel - Straight Edge version).
I carry it for utility reasons (opening packages mostly, as that's a normal task at my job.); although, it does add some comfort when walking campus at night.
Pic not mine:
Taking any legal action is last on my todo list. I have a couple alternatives in line if nothing happens within a week, so we'll see how that goes first.
I have a short list. Sure, there are a lot of handguns I would like to have, but these are the ones I have my eyes set on for the not-so-distant future:
-CZ75 BD
-Milspec Springfield 1911. (Or maybe a RIA 1911, depending on what I can find.)
-(Any) 1911-22 (I sold off my sig mosquito last year...
