      I read that none of the new proposals will take effect until 2012 if they pass.

      The 357 is easy to shoot and will kill a deer but the 44 will knock them down. I haven't seen any 45 ammo around here for a while anyway.

      You might be able to disassemble it and ship it through ups in separate packages as gun parts, not an actual complete firearm.

      A used .357 lever would be the way to go. A 44 is good also but the 357 is also more pleasant to plink with.

      I have a 44 and 357 and they both shoot well. I always seem to take the 357 hunting because my handloads are more accurate in it. They are both easily 150yd deer guns.
