Do you know the name of the CO (sounds like the old CO Winter). I grew up in Rensselaer and went to JP range all the time back in the day. It was alot better before the CO's started acting like RO's.
I agree with OP and others "keep the kid safe", but like other poster said no reason to feel uncomfortable in your own home. I can almost bet your paying the mortgage and utilities on the house not your d-i-l.
I'm not bashing, but I suggest we stop sending SWAT to serve warrants on everything from parking tickets to escaped convicts. Just because you have a SWAT team doesn't mean you have to use them for everything.
Question: In regards to verbal warnings and ready position (non-lethal and lethal), would that be acceptable under your #1 commands?
Obviously warnings would only be warranted if the situation allows the time and distance to recover from aggressors immediate violent response. But at what point...
My dad bought my first gun around age 12, but it was always locked up (unless WE were going hunting, target shooting, etc). I also suspect there is a lot more to this story that will come out. Regardless, the question maybe should be, where was the proper supervision.
Well, if you were my neighbor I would shake your hand and offer to pay your fines. Most of the time the law can not (or will not) see the common sense in an action.
