I like the Walthers both PPS and PPQ. For carry I'd suggest the PPS it is small enough to conceal but large enough to shoot well. It has proved to be accurate and dependable.
I can't wait to see some warm weather and take my M2 to the range. I've a feeling it will be my go to 9mm over the Sig and S&W. Get a PPQ you won't regret it.
I have the M2 with button release but haven't had it to the range. I can attest to the claim of excellent trigger-break and reset are the best. The grip and balance are better than my M&P which I like very much.

Takes practice but well worth it for a quality dependable handgun...

I had the same question, was I good enough to take that class. As I learned I wasn't good enough not to take that class. We have access to some excellent training by dedicated professionals. If you take self defense seriously you owe it to yourself to get training.
Don't bring a shotgun to a banned military style high power high capacity assault weapon with pistol grips, detachable magazine, folding stock, grenade launcher, barrel shroud or threaded barrel fight.
Here are three that I was interested after researching though I never followed up with a purchase. Hopefully some more knowledgeable can chime in.
