I'm glad you had a great time with your son, my son is almost 11 and he seems to enjoy going to the gun shop with me. I bought him his first gun, a remmington 597 rifle for his birthday which is feb 22 and it's driving him nuts that I won't let him shoot it yet.
Went and got my paperwork for LTCH today, I will turn it in Monday and see how long it takes. They seemed to be somewhat ok with me when I went to the county jail to pick it up. They weren't discouraging at all. I got the feeling that they were going to be very helpful in getting it done.

Went and bought a beautiful SKS today, with a 30 rd. Magazine. After firing two rounds the magazine fell out, put it back in fired two more rounds fell out again..... WTH????
I have a ruger 10/22 stainless that I have had for 20 years. It has some small rust looking spots on it and also some discoloration on top of the receiver. I hope someone will chime in here with some ideas.
