Doomsday Preppers - National Geographic Channel
I didn't quite know where to put this, so if it would better fit in the training section, feel free...
I read the same article yesterday, I had similar thoughts, why was he shooting in the air, what was he shooting, why did the gun explode, why did he have the gun in the first place... Then I thought, was this natural selection, or devine intervention. I think both apply here.
I almost always OC, strictly based on comfort. I also almost always have on a jacket. So, it is slightly concealed, but not so much it would hinder my response time. I have only CC'D when I've gone to "college" bars. This was by request of the wife. I would have proudly worn my security system...
RIA compact 1911 @ 3:30 in a fobus puddle holster, usually under a jacket, but if not, open for the world to see.
Also, a Kel Tec pf9 in the car, at 11ish in a cheap nylon holster.
I vote this^^^
This sounds like my step mother in law. She does crap like this to my wife all the time, she just doesn't try to sell her stuff. Just the cussing out and repeat phone calls.
I must be an oddity. I don't know about you all, but I do everything I can, as soon as I can to remove my work clothes when I get home. And generally, the 1911 pulls down my gym shorts that I put on. Am I the strange one here? Does everyone stay in "real" pants all the time? I would like to...
I'm also in Fishers, and am interested in the pricing of membership. I'm getting tired of driving up to Hartford City to shoot. It's free to shoot, but gas ain't cheap.
I'm the same way. I take a few months if necessary, through online research on the pro's, con's, reviews, shooting demo's, breakdowns, you can know more about the gun them if you just held it at the shop (although, I firmly believe in going to the shop and discussing the firearm with the clerk...
Good ole HC. I just shoot at my parent's place. Find someone with some land and get then into shooting. They will gladly volunteer a hill (it would have to be man-made in HC, of course) for a backstop if you let them use your equipment.
I know I've seen threads asking for your "firsts" (first gun, long or hand, first carry experience, first police pull-over with a firearm, etc.). I want to hear your stories of when you first had interest in firearms. Playing cowboys and indians? Rubber band guns? Your grandpa's old collection...
That's interesting. I didn't have a single problem with the ACT mag, but the three little issues were all with the wilson combat mag. Again I seriously think it was form related, not the gun.
Alright, just thought I saw another INGOer there. My brother was checking out a Lexus hatchback, that was about the same price as the Volt. Sorry for the thread jack.
I went out and shot the new piece this weekend (it was a cold one) and I had a few issues with the slide not coming completely back into battery. I have a feeling that it had a lot to do with the fact that the wife may have been limp-wristing a bit, but it happened to me when shooting with one...
Alright... I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna go pick up an officers RIA in .45 (unless someone beat me to it) timothy after work. Are there any objections? I thought not :)
I just stopped in there today while my wife was in Hobby Lobby. The guys working in there were very helpful to the customers in there. There wasn't a GREAT selection, but I wouldn't call it limited either. The prices were ok, nothing to rush in for really, but the place is nice. It was a much...
I got a 12 ga, H&R Pardner pump shotty a month ago, early from the wifey. And, cash from the in-laws toward a Rock Island 1911. Plus my mom thought it was hilarious to give me a childs sized (it fit my thigh) cowboy belt with two cap gun "revolvers". I did say I wanted a holster.
In the most simple terms:
Double Action - One trigger pull, two actions - Hammer comes back (Cocks) and hammer falls.
Single Action - One trigger pull, one action - Hammer falls.
This is clearly what I meant to say. Lol.
Alright Backfire, I'm a little confused. Firstly about the hostility, but it sounds like you two have some history, so I'm not going to touch that.
Secondly, If your pistol is DAO (as is my PF9), than the very long and deliberate trigger pull acts as a safety, and that long trigger pull is that...
