Firstly, Jack, another great article. Secondly, would this fit better in the political thread? Thirdly, if Mourdock would stop going after where Lugar lives, and start campaigning for what he could do better, he would have a better shot (pun intended)
Good post. I agree that I got the feeling like it was baaaad to go to gun shops, and I shouldn't get caught there, like I was breaking curfew or something. That quickly disappeared after a few purchases and at least monthly visits to check the used selection. I think the guys/gal at my LGS know...
I'm pretty sure I know which Indy shop everyone is taking about (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I pretty much go in there on Thursdays because the owner isn't there, and he is the only one allowed to smoke. They still have the best prices and everyone working in there is incredibly friendly...
I also have one for CC purposes. It is very snappy. The grip mentioned above does help, but by no means is it "fun" to shoot, but I haven't had a single gun related issue. I do occasionally actuate the mag release when I fire it, but that's operator error.
This is exactly right. If you want a real show about guns, watch the military channel, or the outdoor channel. As I'm not a fan of sons of guns, I'll watch american guns. As gun guys/gals, we can pick up on the bs, but the general public is still scared of firearms, and the more exposure...
Looks like a trip to PSS before I go home. Not that that is every a bad thing (my wife may have issue with it). I never thought I would need one, but it looks like an ankle holster is in my very near future.
I'm planning on seeing a show at The Vogue this weekend, and as usual, I want to carry. I searched and found the thread below. As the last post is over a year old, I was just wondering if it was still this bad...
I read this article and didn't really think twice about the pistol whipping or the kids. All I could think of, was who was going to be the first to mention that this was probably a Glock.

Thank God I was sober
I didn't read the article (it makes me sick to even think about, much less read an actual event), so I don't know the specifics, but from the comments, I can infer. I believe I had a similar incident. No harge, and I wasn't the one behind the gun, but I still feel...
I thought you guys took it easy on him... Well, until he came back and said the advice he asked for (I think, I stopped reading) was crap and then bashed our pleasant forum where nobody gives bad advice and everyone loves everyone else. ;)
I searched, but this is probably already on here somewhere.

I was watching a show last night (and every wednesday night for that matter), on the outdoor channel, The Best Defense. I've thing they always stress is that the gun is a last resort, and avoidance is the first priority. They also alway mention the use of hand combat and ways to change the...
One of my friends from work put a whole through his hand, his washer, dryer and half the wall behind that. He was getting ready to clean it, dropped the mag, racked several times and bumped the trigger just enough, and as they say...BOOM.
Always do the pinkey test, unless she says not to...
That was you with the stroller! So annoying! ;) There were plenty of people pushing their little ones around last night. The only time I felt "stuck" was when a trash collector was pushing his bin around and got lodged in a bottle neck behind one of the tents. We were completely surrounded and...
I was a week late. This always happens....
