Haven't had the disposable income to try yet. For what it's worth, there are lots of runblings about ATF doing away with the CLEO signature altogether. I'll let you know if I get the chance to try.
I had a CZ50 several years ago... same gun, different grips. It took some work to get it to feed JHPs reliably. I had to polish the feed ramp, and dremel a little half-circle into the top of the forward edge of the magazine. In retrospect, with most .32 JHPs lacking decent performance, I...
Well, looking at how listed velocities for 9mm factory ammo stack up against even .38 +P, I'd think that it would be a little sharper.
Then again, I'm not necessarily scared off by .357's out of my S&W 360, so I say bring it on! :rockwoot:
The Charter Arms Pitbull is available in .40S&W and does not require the use of moon clips. There's talk that 9mm and .45 ACP models are on the way, but they don't appear to be available yet.
It was apparently a common practice with the Swiss to put name tags under the buttplate with names and unit info.
A few years ago when Swiss K31s were all over the market, there were lots of people on AR15.com who researched the tags and sent letters to those who were originally issued the...
I had read a news article elsewhere a few days ago, that said that Colt was not moving any production away from CT, and would be producing new products in FL.
Could this mean the return of Colt wheelguns? One could only dream...
Springfield made a GI lightweight 4" .45, but the GI series doesn't appear to be in their catalog anymore. I know it isn't a 9mm, but that seemed to be far and away the least expensive option for a lightweight "commander" that I saw at the time.
IIRC the barrel is the "important" part in some European countries for legal purposes, like the frame is here. Glocks have the barrel serialized, as do HK products.
I had a FEG hi-power that had the barrel replaced by KBI under warranty back when they were still around. The factory barrel...
So *that's* why the one I had doubled and tripled with everything except Stingers. It all makes sense now... but not enough sense to make me want another one. :D
Earlier this year, I was so thrilled with Kahr finally introducing the CM9 that I was determined to buy one. Until I held it in my hand, and it didn't feel much bigger than the P3AT that I already find difficult to control.
I've found that a J-frame carries very well in my pocket, and (most...
The Charles Daly clone was made by FEG. I previously had a FEG HP that gave me fits with cheap Promags, but straightened right out when I started using the surplus 17 round mags that were all over the market a few years ago.
I keep Silvertips in my nightstand G20 as well. It's about the closest you can get to a full-power 10mm load without resorting to specialty mail-order places like Swampfox Ammo. Cabela's always seems to have a decent stock of 10mm Silvertips whenever I'm in there.
I had one that I bought in college in the late 90's, just for the purpose of having a cheap .22 to blast away with. Eventually, it started doubling and tripling so much that I was afraid of serving federal time for an NFA violation. It wound up going to a Chicago gun buyback at a profit. :D
I'd be concerned if the .410s were reloaded, and by whom. We tossed lots of reloads when we cleaned out my grandfather's house after he passed away, because we had no idea if he loaded them before or after he started drinking. :(
Depending on what I'm wearing and how quickly I need to get out of the house, it's either a S&W 360 .357 in a pocket holster or a G19 in a King Tuk. Now that I'm back out in the field visiting clients in a suit, I may need to find a good pocket holster for my P3AT as well...
