      IPad 2 home button issue

      You can still use the iPad without the home button. If you place all 5 fingers spread out on the screen and then " pinch" them all, as if zooming in with all fingers, the screen will return to home and the iPad will function as normal.

      Frankly, these warnings are a civil matter. Unless the customer is being disorderly or refuses to leave, I don't know why the police are even dispatched on these calls. BDubs made the rule, let them enforce it. If they need help doing so, then let them hire private security at their expense and...

      Very well handled by all involved, but again brings up the oc/cc argument. As a fellow Anderson resident I, and my friends have had no problems here and we all cc. Again, very well handled but possibly avoided altogether if cc'ing.

      Who carries without one in the chamber?

      I agree with the training and becoming more comfortable. You might as well carry a rock if you are carrying without one in the pipe. With the right training and confidence it is much safer to carry all ready to roll.

      Cheap Kershaws

      I carried a Kershaw overseas for 2deployments as a utility knife, for use when the k-bar was just to bulky. Worked like a charm. I got home and cleaned out the sand and carried it for 3 years after. Sits in a drawer now but would use it in a heartbeat.

      This thread is why all my jobs have uniforms( that are issued before day 1), be it military or public safety. Makes the what to wear question very easy.

      EMT Appreciation

      Firefighter/medic for 6 years. You just have to hope that the calls that turn out well outnumber the ones that don't. As long as you do everything you can, you will sleep at night. You also have to realize that you can't save them all.
