.22 Rifles for Summer Burn Camp for kids

Recommend checking out the single shot bolt action Henry Mini-bolt H005 (Youth) & Henry Accu-bolt H007 rifles. They are American made, very well contructed (Polymer & Staniless Steel), have a great warranty and are very simple to operate. These are the rifles that we purchased last summer for...

Hi Folks - First thanks for developing the INGunOwners forum! It has been great and I have really enjoyed what time I have gotten to spend on the site so far... I have a question and did not find anything regarding the matter readily doing an FAQ search... Background: I am on the Board of...

      Henry AR7

Good posts... This has been very helpful. I also have been thinking about purchasing a Henry AR-7 for a BOB. Unfortunately, I have no real life experience with tne AR-7 yet but do like the idea of having one...

      Small generator

A year or so ago a couple of fast talking guys were trying to sell me a demonstration generator out of the back of a dually work truck in the parking lot of Home Depot. I want to say the name on it was "Durostar" (could be wrong)... The totality of the situation did not give me confidence and I...

Buying actual precious metals and their funds

Check out Silver Wheaton (SLW) & Royal Gold (RGLD). They both have a compelling business model that will give you exposure to precious metals. You will need to do your own due diligence but I believe they are discounted to their fair market value at this time relative to the price of Silver...

Buying actual precious metals and their funds

Bear with me here for a bit... If/when SHTF (Monetary wise - not Mad Max Apocalyptic, per se), being in possession of some Junk Silver (Pre-1965 90% Silver US Coins of non-nusmimatic value) or 1oz ingots will serve you well in the case of a need to barter before a new monetary system is...

      Which .22LR do you prefer...

I'm a big fan of the Federal Value Pack... Rarely have ever had a problem but I do agree with a previous post that it is probably a little dirtier. I used the ammo at the Appleseed shoot this last fall - never had an ammo problem or action issue the whole weekend.

Outfitting a SHTF Backpack... What do you think???

Good thoughts and agree - However, the 90% silver quarters were added with the thought that the monetary (fiat) system will have broken down and at some point I may have to barter for a necessity... Thanks for the input!

Outfitting a SHTF Backpack... What do you think???

If you were to outfit a SHTF (Bug out) backpack to carry in your car what would you put in it to have available to you in case of an emergency? Here are my intial thoughts (in no particular order): .45 cal 1911 (w/ 3 loaded mags) Henry US Survival .22 Rifle (& 100 rounds of ammo) Classic...

Is there any form of ammo "illegal" in Indiana?

I believe Black Talon was taken off of the market by Olin Corp. soley due to their bowing to media hypebole of being falsely dubbed "Cop Killer" ammo. Black Talons basically were replaced with Ranger SXT ammo (w/o the black lubalox coating) that later eveloved into PDX1 (with some...

Lafayette local, want suggestions on 45 acp handgun

Lots of goods posts in response to your question... Need to echo the cost consideration on .45 cal... {.45 cal can run you twice the cost of 9mm} If cost is an issue, then what is the point in having a nice handgun if you can't aford to shoot it? My friend just bought a 9MM Springfield XDM...

      Taurus Judge info

Bought a Ported SS Judge for my wife for Home Defense this summer. Mounted a cheap flashlight/Laser combo on it as well that I found at the 1500. We keep .410 PDX Defense Shells in it for her. I too read alot of negative press about the Judge but every person I spoke to that owned one...

Childers Farm, Bedford Indiana. Sept 17-18

This is a belated "Thank you" to the Appleseed Team and the Childress Family!!! I had a great time and learned a lot at the Bedford Shoot! I will definitely practice what I learned and plan to return to earn my Rifleman in the future. (If I have to, I will weld my VTech Site onto my Marlin!)...
