I had great luck with the Accu-Tips as well. They shot very well in my 870, didn't kick the snot out of me at the bench, and killed very well. The only thing I didn't like is they did not exit, even on yearlings. All my shots were within 20yds, which could have been part of it. Some guys...
Since you can't see it with the booster installed, my :twocents: would leave the barrel at 10.5". More velocity and probably a little less muzzle flash. While a slightly different animal, I am not impressed with the 5.45's performance out of an 8" barrel.

Foster slugs are relatively soft and the ribs compress even more as they go through a choke. Best accuracy is usually with a cylinder bore, but you never know until you put it on paper. Even with a full choke you should be ok as long as everything else is in good working order.
