      .308 rifle....M1A, AR-10 or bolt action?

      I would choose the m1a. I've heard and noticed people having problems with ar 10s. If price isn't an option you might look into an FAL but like I said you're getting pricey.

      How much was your first handgun?

      My first handgun was a Springfield stainless loaded 1911 and it cost me right under 900 dollars. It is still in my collection and I will never part with it.

      I have been considering buying a 1-6 scope for my AR 15, but I don't have 1300 dollars to spend. I was just wondering if anyone has personal experience with Vortex's new offering. I said that I don't have 1300, but 300 dollars sounds like the quality might not be there.

      The Gun I Didn't Buy Today

      I put 30 dollars a week back for my gun purchases. Yeah you cant get something every week, but that's over 1500 a year in the long run. Plus I usually buy a gun or something of equal value for myself on the birthday.

      I bought an ar15 and really wish I would have bought an ak47 first. Mostly based on ammo price and the fact that I don't normally shoot over 300 yards.

      Cleaning kit, extra ar15 bcg, lubricants,eye & ear protection, targets, and a staple gun.

      Misty mornin safes down by Evansville. Great safes with fire ratings and still thicknesses comparable to Fort Knox and superior safes.

      List of Indiana Shooting Ranges

      It is nothing special. They have an indoor .22 range and a 100 yd. outside range. There are also pistol lanes outside that are 25 yds. :ar15:
