      CC Reciprocity

Just looking at the map on usacarry.com and I noticed that Indiana honors permits from every state but Vermont. Vermont however honors our LTCH. That seems a bit odd, that we honor everyone but VT... Anyone know the reasoning behind that?

Best Hearing Protection for the Money

I'd like to hear from you regarding what you like/don't like, best for the money, etc. I currently have a pair of rubber in-ear plugs and a pair of Mickey Mouses to wear over them. What's the best bang for the buck? Is there a favorite electronic pair that most people seem to like that won't...

      pink slip lunch today!

Saw an opportunity to bring up the Starbucks Valentine's day situation at a lunch with some vendors today. Was pleasantly surprised at the number of LTCH "pink slips" that were flashed at the table and pledges to go buy some Valentines day coffee when the topic arose!! Gotta love Indiana...

      LTCH and Noblesville

I got mine back in 2008 in Westfield. I don't remember doing electronic prints. For some reason I thought they did ink on me. How long has this electronic prints thing been going on?

Opening an indoor range on the North Side, Carmel, Zionsville

Please build one close to Westfield. We're centrally located on the north side and currently lacking in any firearm facilities! Heck, partner up with the city government that's wanting to promote Westifield as a 'sports destination' to re-brand the city (since shooting is most definitely a...

Can you carry when a school is not a school?

I really don't understand some of the 'legal here, but not here, legal here unless xyz crap. Is someone that is LTCH somehow magically more likely to lose their marbles and start randomly shooting people because they are on school property or in the presence of a field trip? WTH? From all the...

WTS: CIVIL WAR MUSKET 1832 GERMAN

Talk to Ted. He might want to make you an offer, as he's into the Civil War guns etc... Caldwell and Company Civil War Antiques Up in Lebanon, IN. I did an FFL through him. Works for the Fire Department, really nice guy.

Can you carry when a school is not a school?

I've often wondered about the school function part of that law. Seems a bit 'loose' in definition.

      Lacking Basic "Guy" Skills

Maybe parents should get their kids demonstrate the ability to safely do a few basic auto maintenance checks such as change a tire, check and change a fuse, jump a battery, and at least check the oil before letting them get their license.

Opening an indoor range on the North Side, Carmel, Zionsville

Got a PM re: this from Martin. Apparently still in the works, but having to deal with Zionsville sewer requirements etc... I'm betting the city is fighting them with all kinds of zoning crap.

Can you carry when a school is not a school?

What if you are carrying legally at a sporting event that allows carrying. You paid to get in. This facility has a no re-admission policy so you would have to buy another ticket if you leave (to stow your gun). Unbeknownst to you a school has scheduled a field trip to this location and kids...

USA sniper 50 cal 1 mile shot through concrete wall takes out baddies:

Wholly crap! This guy made a Taliban take a nap at 1.5 miles! Took him several shots to get zeroed in at that distance, but still 1.5 miles!!! Wholly crap! I'd probably have a hard time even keeping the dude in my field of vision in my scope at 1.5 miles let alone hitting anything smaller...

USA sniper 50 cal 1 mile shot through concrete wall takes out baddies:

from 2010, so most likely old news to you all but I had not seen this video before and was impressed enough to want to share it. A VERY heart felt thanks to the combat vets from an old Navy electrician. Your actions make our world a better place. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh_U-iWD690

out in the woods and look wtf happend!!!1

I guess so... I'm not a metallurgist by any standard but I'd assume air could have negative effects on the forming of the metal. I've just read that what I've always thought was poorly cast iron is actually described as "Grey cast iron" (the stuff that breaks and looks like grey crystals). It...

out in the woods and look wtf happend!!!1

I've only ever seen iron break in those 'crystal like' formations when it was cast, and usually not cast well instead of forged. The larger the crystal like formations the easier I think it breaks. Large crystals I think are result of not so good casting (temperature, impurity, etc...)
