I'm satisfied with the operation of the severe weather alerts the few times it went off in Indiana... the alarm is good and loud. I like the visual advisory/watch/warning lights...

      Seconding a Riccar - but get it from A-1 Vacuum at 62nd and Allisonville. :D We've had ours for 8-ish years, weekly use on 3200 sq feet of carpet... dogs, kids, etc. Made in the USA!

      Exactly. Case in point - South Carolina is only ranked higher than Indiana because of their Castle Doctrine, I guess. But SC is conceal carry only, with a CWP class (=$$$) as a requirement to obtain the permit (bonus points for being able to have a handgun in a closed glove box or center...

      HTC droid dropped in toilet...found a tip to dry it out that worked!

      Dropped my wife's old school v3 Razr in the toliet once about 4 years ago.. removed battery and hit it with the hair dryer for about 5 minutes. Still working today. I work around pools and have always had insurance on any phone worth more than the deductable.
