I just finished a 9mm AR pistol build on a New Frontier Armory billet glock pattern lower. I ended up going through MAS Defense on a 7.5" upper. I had read good reviews but don't have a range report yet. Worth checking out, however, it's a standard forged upper and doesn't have the last round...
Also, grip is BCM mod 3. I had to remove the front part of the grip that would fall above your index finger otherwise it wouldn't mount flush to the billet lower due to the trigger guard.
Also, after some handling today I may need to adjust the ejector to bolt clearance because the bolt is...
This will probably be long winded but I wanted to post about my 9mm AR pistol build (intent to SBR and suppress eventually)
I did months of research before finally pulling the trigger on the parts. Some were exactly what I wanted and some were second choices due to availability. In the end...
Unsure of what NFA is calling "small frame" when they say their lowers will accept any small frame glock mags. Having not owned a glock and not being up on their models, I'm not sure which would fit. I see they classify as full size, compact, and sub compact. I'm building with 9mm upper...
9mm Shield with thumb safety here. I carry in an Aliengear cloak tuck 3.0 IWB holster and it is hands down the most comfortable set up I've come across. As many others have said though, if I did it again I would go with non-thumb safety model. Muscle memory at this point to sweep it but I...
Picked up 13 CAA AR mags for about $8/ea. Didn't see many other good deals though, hoping to find some 1-4 or 1-6 optics but there was NOTHING there by way of quality optics. Grabbed a can of 7.62x54 for $100, but that's just because I haven't seen the benefit in driving to pick up what I've...
Good thread, this is something I was looking for this year to mix it up from just punching holes. We did see some of the battleship targets at the Tri-State show today. Wishing now I would have picked a few up to try out.
I remember the first time we went to this show. Walked in to the first "room", made our way around and thought....that's it?? We didn't realize (but found out) that there was a large gymnasium filled just down the hallway. Great show, always worth the trip.
Went to both today, we live right in between them and I thought they were both worth the commute. I wish the Lafayette show at the fairgrounds would be better lit, after going from the Tipton show to the Lafayette show, it felt like a cave.
Found some wolf WPA 7.62x39 @ Tipton show for 23c/rd...
It's an end plate sling adapter. I'm just going to get a std end plate to put on since I won't be running a sling on this. I'm not even sure what brand it is as it was on the lower when I bought it.
You, sir, are absolutely correct. I can't believe I missed that but I that's how it goes. I performed multiple function checks on the fcg and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I put the RRA upper on the Anderson lower and it charged fine, put the PSA upper on RRA lower and it also...
I will do that when I get home tonight. I do know that I am pushing the buffer back the 1/16" and I'm able to assemble the upper to the lower, so that would direct me more towards what you guys are saying with the hammer.
Yeah, I have a couple pictures I'm working on getting up. Yes, though, the buffer tube is seated over the pin. It's the spring loaded retainer that I think I'm hitting.
*Edit*- Found my issue was due to my charging handle hitting an excessively thick buffer tube end plate. Replaced it and problem solved!
Tried searching around but couldn't find this issue.
I've had a complete Anderson lower for a while now and finally got around to getting an upper for it...
Brad,
Saw on Facebook that Kershaw is releasing a line of autos again. Do you have any info on them or are they something you plan to order?
Btw, the knives I got off of you were big hits this Christmas!
