Gents! My son and I are passing on the our shooting/hunting knowledge to the grand-kids. The kids seem inquisitive as I have a "old school" Ruger No. 1 and would like to shoot it. It's kinda punchy on the shoulder with max or off the shelf loads as it's chambered in 460 S&W. I currently have...
MOST INTERESTING! How would ya do all of that??? Suspect building yer own cartridges, but what to use for a primer? What would be the weight of your .452 cast? Approx MV?
Yes.... My late father's crown jewel. I'm wanting to date it. Anybody have a good site I could go to??? All I know is that he bought it at an Ace Hardware (of all places) back in the '70's. Yep, I still have the price tag... and box. Thanks in advance!
I forgot to mention - Wilson also made a KZ-45 with a Commander sized barrel. That too (to me) would be a nice carry piece. I had a full sized KZ-45 and it held 10+1 - and the polymer frame was actually narrower than my conventional CDP.
Thanks 1nderbeard - I did see that one, and nah, it actually looks to have a snazzier stock than mine. Mine is drilled and tapped for a scope rail , but I really don't want to mess with all of that. May give it to the kid or sell it when I get to my requisite 50 posts. No rush as this all is...
On a side note, I see that Wilson Combat has their offering of a short grip Commander sized Ultralight Carry Compact. WOW - it's gorgeous! Price? Only $3,650. Hmmm I may have to sell off my Sig 938, Ultra CDP and 340 fir the down payment. : )

WOW.... Well then.... I seriously think this thing has EVER been fired! yeah - they are the WORST sights I've ever seen on a rifle. I don't plan on ever shooting it, so I won't mess with the peeps.
Still - my big question... Is it a collectors? suspect not given the responses so far.
May part...
OH.... a more conventional one would be the Sig 938. I also have one of those and it has never failed. I do like the safeties on it. Unlike a 1911, did you know that you could rack the slide with the safety on?
If it has to be a 9mm, I'd go for the Kahr PM 9. Take a close look at this one. Micro? Perhaps... The trigger - rather a long pull, but is super smooth.... and smooth as a hot knife through butter!
