gonna buy a shotgun for both hunting and home defense. I found one at walmart, a mossberg 20 gauge with both smooth and rifled barrels for $280 bucks. Will the 20 gauge be plenty for both purposes or should I shop around for a 12 gauge? I also plan on taking it to the range to break my son in...
thinking of purchasing a mossberg 500 with extra barrel from walmart just because its only $280 bucks. and is made with nicely detailed wood. just can't find anywhere else that comes close to that price.
in the movie "confidence" Ed Burns is about to be shot in the head by the bad guy. BG racks the slide....slide stays open for lack of ammo...and still puts it to his head like nothing just happened.

Bunker Hill fish and game club has one. Only one "lane" though and you must be a member.____46914
They have park benches set up every 25 yard I believe out to 125yards. 50 bucks initial membership and I think 25 bucks a year. Has a fishing pond and hunting land as well.

Looking for a good all around shotgun for both hunting and home defense. Need advise on which of these two pumps would serve me best. I am left handed so a pump serves me best unless I can find a left handed auto out there for a decent price.
Thanks for all the interesting responses. I'll probably just go with my gut and get either a glock 22 or the new xdm 40. had a glock23 years ago and it was just too small a grip for my hand. The slide always seemed to hit the webbing between my thumb and index finger when doing speed drills from...
the main reason I asked this question is because my father left his Jr colt .25 to me when he past on. It is in excellent condition having only had 50 rounds put through it in the last fifty years or so since he purchased it new. Just thought it would be a nice carry weapon considering it fits...
