My magazines hung up on the magazine release when new as did others commenting. I found that just a light tap with the open palm of the hand on the bottom of the magazine when inserted made it slide in just fine. Just repeat a few times with each magazine. I don't believe it needs to go back...
Check with your insurance agent to see if they have a special "rider" to your homeowners policy for specific coverage for firearms, jewelry, cameras, etc. in the coverage value for the items. You can always change the coverage up or down at a later time.
It is a hard decision whether to sell or not. Be selective, keep the ones you really want and ones that you know you may have trouble replacing later if you wanted to. Keep the ones that have been given to you by your parents or grandparents, of ones you may want to pass on to your children or...
A revolver in .357 is an excellent choice for protection inside or outside the home. It is simple to use and as previously stated you have the options of .38, .38+P, or the .357 for your intended use. With ammunition hard to find right now the various ammo types that may be available is also...

As stated, get the biggest and best you can afford. You will be able to put more guns in it in the future. Keep in mind you may also want to put other valuables in it such as a nice camera, collectable items, and etc.
I firmly agree on checking out the area to see what the neighborhood is like. Don't be afraid to ask eighbors questions, after all if you buy there that was a good way to meet your neighbors. One common problem is often overlooked is drainage. Is there standing water after rains. There are...
S&W Model 39-2 fit my hand perfectly, just thought I needed more than 8, why I don't know. Thin enought to cc and big enough to shoot accurately. It was a well made handgun and dependable.
